February Goals: 2022

Hello, my friends!

Happy February! Are you excited for another month to work on your goals for the New Year?

I am excited! And I’m going to set some new goals for the month and break up the ones that I already set for the New Year so I can hit them. So here we go!

  • Hit a word goal of at least 20K

I am not expecting to get a very high word count as I will be outlining, and not drafting this month, but I do hope to hit at least 20k.
  • Finish my outline for The Bensons

I hope to start writing in March once I finish the outline this month – It’s historical fiction so I need to do a lot of research. I will most likely be sharing some snippets on here, and more about the story soon.
  • Hit 80 followers on my blog

I am super close! Only 9 away. And if you’re subscribed, thank you so much for helping me get this far. And if know someone who would like to follow me, send them to this page to follow.
  • Read at least 7 books

I slowed down on reading in January and I want to pick back up again to hit my goal of reading at least 50 books this year. I need to get started on that!
  • Make sure at least 1 of the books I read is nonfiction

As I write nonfiction a decent amount, I want to get started reading more to get better at writing it.
  • Set up my bullet journal

Alright, *cringes* I haven’t worked on my bullet journal as much as I want to be. I’ve worked on it once. But I only got it a few weeks ago, so I hope I can get it started again.
  • Memorize at least 4 Bible verses

I memorized two verses in January – But I hope to memorize 4 this month to get back on track to hit my goal of 40 this year.
  • Keep up with my Bible reading

At this point, I’ve stayed on track to read the whole Bible this year – so I want to keep that up and stay on track so I won’t fall behind.

And there are my goals for February! Let’s chat in the comments – Do you have any goals for February? How are your goals for 2022 coming?

2022 Goals: Five things I hope to do in the New Year

Hello, my friends!

Aight, so I maybe should have done this a bit earlier, but I scheduled other posts instead, not thinking about it, so, now in mid-January, you get to hear my goals for 2022.

I have way too many goals to try to share all of them. I’m an over-achiever, so there are quite a few goals that I made, as well as some that I probably make later. So, I’m just going to share five today.

Read the whole Bible again

I have read the whole Bible before, just not all at once, but I want to give this a try and I’ve already started reading, so I should be on track. I’m reading it through YouVersion, and I have many friends and family doing it with me, so I should be able to hit this goal since I have accountability to do so.

Give bullet journaling a try

I’m really excited to give this goal a try. I’ve heard about bullet journaling a lot before, and seen others spreads through their blogs. I’ve been thinking about doing it for a while. And then a few days ago, this one blogger I follow, did a post showing her spreads, and it inspired me to actually go through and try it. There’s a first time for everything, right? We shall see how it goes, and I will definitely share some photos if it goes well.

Write a novel/Participate in NaNoWriMo

I’ve written two shorter middle-grade novels, but I’ve never actually attempted writing a whole novel, which I’m going to try to do this year. I also want to participate in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) this year. I’ll keep you all updated on how it’s going, and I’m sure I will share some snippets here.

Read 40 Books (At least ten non-fiction)

I read a ton, but this year, I am going to try to keep track of the books I read and read more non-fiction, which is something I tend to avoid. I’m excited to do this goal!

Blog for one year

I am already a little over two months into this goal, and I’m sure it’s going to be pretty easy, since I’ve learned to love blogging, and I’ve already grown so much as a writer. Anyway, I’m excited to hit my one-year blog-birthday on November 5th.

And there are my goals for 2022. I hope you enjoyed reading about them! Let me know in the comments: do you have any goals for the new year?

Have a blessed day!

December Goals!

2021 is not over yet.

Yep! You heard me! 2021 has not come to an end yet. We still have 31 days to go, which means there’s still time to finish up some last month goals!

And here are mine!

Writing

  1. Reach 50 followers on my blog- I am only four away!
  2. Finish outlining The Marbelle’s at Camp Wild Waters– I am almost done so this one should be pretty easy to complete.
  3. Start my short story- Last year, I started doing a short story contest in Febuary, I have no ideas for this one though. So I need to get cranking on it. (Once it’s done I will most likely post it here)

Personal

  1. Read at least ten books- I’ve slowed down on my reading the past month and I want to start back up again.
  2. Finish my office– It’s so close to being done! (I will post about it when it is.)

And, there are my five goals for December 2021! Before we know it, it will be 2022. Kind of shocking, right?

What is one thing you would like to do before the month is over? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time,
