Hello, my friends!
How are you all doing this Saturday?
Today, I decided on a post to do just for fun, to share my five favorite quotes with you. I also want to share with you the Bible verses that my favorite quotes remind of. Shall we get started?
If you want to change the world, pick up your pen and write.Martin Luther
This quote always inspires me when I am in a motivational slump, it’s one of my favorites! It gives me hope that I can change people’s lives through my words. I really want to be able to serve the Lord through my writing.
James 1:22, But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves is the verse that I like to pair with this quote. I think that the only way to change the world is to act on God’s word.
Let God’s promises shine on your problems.Corrie Ten Boom
I’ve always loved this quote. An excellent reminder that God is greater than all of our problems. ❤ Even when the problems seem so big, I can remember God’s promises and how much bigger they are than my problems. It is also an encouragement for me to know God’s promises so it reminds me to memorize scripture.
Believe in yourself and you are halfway there.Theodore Rosevelt
Ahhh, I love this quote so much. When you think you can do it, you can actually go through with it. Having that push really helps you to do that thing you need or want to do. It encourages me to just start writing and believe that I can write. And not just that I can write but that I will write things that are inspired by God.
The verse that my mind pairs with this is Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. I think that this is the pre- verse. It is what lets me believe in myself because I know that God is with me.
“Someday you’ll be old enough to start reading fairy tales again.”C.S. Lewis
Alright, there are so many reasons I love this one. The main one is that I still love reading children’s books (one of the reasons I write middle-grade.), and that you are never too old to read children’s books. Another reason, I like it is because it reminds me I am never too old to play, pretend and have fun. It gives me an excuse to play with with my siblings like I am still a little kid.
This is the only one that really doesn’t make me think of scripture but maybe one of you will have a suggestion for me and you could share that with me in the comments!
Aww, I love this one. It always inspires me. ❤ My mom is always telling us that we can be the ones to make peace. That is we change then we can make the difference that is needed.
And there we have it! My five favorite quotes! Let me know in the comments, what is one of you favorite quotes?
Have a wonderful Saturday!
