Scripture Sunday

Hello, my friends!

How are you doing this Sunday?

I have fallen off the wagon a bit with these posts, and I even forgot today, but I just remembered a bit ago. So this week we’ll be a bit shorter but it’s here.

This week I am studying James 2:10

For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

James 2:10

Isn’t this very interesting?

James gives an illustration of showing favoritism to someone who is rich over someone who is poor in this passage. He is pointing out that God considers favoritism a sin and that in the eyes of God it is just as bad of a sin as any other sin.

That even if we sin one little bit, and don’t do anything else wrong, we are as guilty as if we did everything wrong.

This really makes me think about what I do, and how to do it. In a way, it’s inspiring. It makes me want to be a better person. And not sin at all, the tiniest bit. Because in God’s eyes, it’s as bad as if I did a million things wrong.

The last thing I guess is that I am thankful that even though God doesn’t want us to sin, we can come to him when we have sinned and ask for forgiveness and he will forgive our sins.

Anyway, those are just a few of my thoughts from today’s verse.

If you would like to study along with me, I’ve attached a poster for you to print out.

I hope you all have a lovely week!
