Once again, I have a Penderwick sister to interview! And this time it is the one and only. . . . .
I am sure we will have fun chatting with Rosalind! One thing before we start, if you missed last week’s post, you can check it out here!
Shall we begin?
Welcome, Rosalind! Thank you for taking the time to talk with us.
My pleasure! I am happy to be here.
I am glad. Shall we get started? How are you today?
Yes! I am doing wonderful, thank you.
That’s wonderful! How is school going? Do you have a favorite subject?
School is going well, I started Latin this year. Daddy speaks it all the time and I desperately want to be able to understand it. I don’t really have a favorite subject.
Ooh! Learning Latin sounds interesting. What is your favorite color?
Pink, I would say.
Pink is a very pretty color. What are your hobbies?
I spend a lot of time with my best friend, Anna. And then I like to bake and do things with my sisters.
Baking is always fun. Do you have a favorite thing to bake?
What is the best thing that happened to you in the past year?
I am sure if you asked Jane and Skye this question you got the same answer, but, I’ll tell you it anyway. The past summer at Arendale. It was so wonderful but heartbreaking in a way.
Oh, that sounds wonderful and terrible. I think that can be true about a lot of experiences. Do you play any sports?
No, I leave that to Skye and Jane. Except, I am pretty good at most sports, thanks to Nick, even though I don’t play.
He’s our neighbor. He’s always putting us through football and basketball drills. He has a dreadfully annoying brother though. Anyway, he’s probably the reason for my athletic skills.
He sounds fun. What is your typical day like?
I get up, help Daddy make breakfast, go to school, come home from school, and on my way home pick up Batty from Goldie’s Daycare, make Batty a snack, and that’s pretty much it. My life isn’t really interesting at the moment.
The glamourous life of a 12-year-old. I totally understand. Do you like having sisters?
I love it, most of the time at least.
I get that. The last question, have you ever been in love?
.…Well, I thought I was. I’m not going to go into detail but, it didn’t turn out well. That’s what made Arendale so wonderful but heartbreaking.
Oh, interesting. Thank you so much for the interview, Rosalind, I loved chatting with you.
Thank you! It was my pleasure.
I hope you all enjoyed reading my interview with Rosalind!
Next week, I will be featuring my last interview with the Penderwicks. The one and only, Batty Penderwick.
Let me know in the comments if you have any questions for next week’s interview with Batty!
Until next time,
